| Frequently Asked Questions & Policies:
Do you require a deposit, and how and when do I pay?
Unfortunately, due to the rising cost of materials I have been forced to re-evaluate my deposit policy. I am now requiring a non-refundable 30% deposit to begin production of your order. You can place your order at any time, but I will not actually order materials or begin production until your down payment has been received. I will accept check, cash or money order, or I also accept credit card payments through PayPal. If your package will be shipped to you, payment must be received in full before it ships. If payment then is by check or money order, I ask that you expect a 10 day delay in shipping for processing of your payment.
When is my deposit due?
I cannot begin production of your arrangements until I have received your deposit, therefore I ask that you send your payment at least 2-3 months before you would like delivery of your order. This will allow enough time for me to actually receive the payment (if it has been mailed), order materials from suppliers and begin production. I prefer to have as much time with orders as possible in case there are any changes that may need to be made along the way to ensure your satisfaction in the end. This way, we won't be strapped for time as your wedding day approaches.
How soon do I need to place my order?
Because of the nature of silk flowers, you don't need to worry about booking a date with Designer Bouquet. Orders can be done up to a year in advance and easily stored in a dry room. I do ask for at least 6-8 weeks notice for a standard bridal party, however I am willing to work with rush orders if needed.
Will I get to see pictures of my flowers before I get them?
Of course! I send photos of each piece to make sure it's exactly what you've envisioned. I am meticulous with detail, right down to the stem of a boutonniere. If there is anything you are not thrilled with at that time, I am always happy to make any changes needed. My first priority is your dream wedding!
What is your cancellation policy if my plans change or I change my mind?
I understand that things don't always work out the way we had hoped or planned. You can cancel your order at any time with a written notice via email. However, your deposit is non-refundable once it has been sent. If you need to cancel a few items off of your order, please let me know as soon as possible, preferably before they are produced. If they have already been produced, I will be happy to re-arrange them into something else you can use at the same cost (cake flowers, centerpieces, etc.)
Why are your prices so much lower than other places? Will I end up with cheap looking flowers?
This is a common concern with brides who are considering using silk flowers. I am very particular with the suppliers I use to ensure the best quality I can find while keeping cost in mind. Silk flowers can be surprisingly realistic, offering quality without the high cost. I also work from a studio out of my home, which allows me to keep costs down considerably.
I have allergies so I cannot have fresh flowers, but I want them to look and feel real. What can I do?
High end "natural touch" flowers may be available, depending on your flower and color choices. However, additional charges will apply. If cost is not as much of a concern as quality, this is a good option for you.
I found a style I absolutely love on another website (or magazine). Can you do this for me?
Although the style itself will be similar to the photo you love, the actual arrangement will be unique to your specifications, i.e. colors, flowers or fillers. It is impossible for me to duplicate someone else's design exactly due to variances with manufacturers, but I have been able to recreate styles very closely with stunning results!
How do I place my order?
After you have decided what you need for your wedding, I will send you an order confirmation via email. Once you have confirmed that it is correct, when you would like delivery, and your deposit has been sent, I will begin production of your arrangements based on your delivery date. You will be notified each step of the way, from the time I receive materials from my supplier to photos of the last corsage.
What should I expect when I meet with you, and is a meeting really necessary?
Keep in mind that with the ease of email communications and digital photography, a face to face meeting is not necessary to create the floral arrangements you've always wanted (this works great for brides out of the area!). However, many local brides still prefer the personal meeting process. Because I work out of my home, I prefer to meet brides in a more neutral setting, usually a coffee shop or restaurant near her home or work. I will have portfolios of past work for you to browse through, as well as photos of a few past weddings to give you ideas. We will brainstorm and discuss your budget to come up with a design and package that's perfect for your wedding. It can be helpful to have someone along, such as your fiance, maid of honor or mother if you are undecided about flowers and styles.
